Rachel and I have been on numerous adventures while Doug's been in Chicago on business. We've shopped for wedding presents, baby presents, food, clothes, and party supplies. The only thing we forgot was the ant killer for our new friends in the kitchen.
We attended the first playgroup of the summer. Rachel loved being around the other kids. My only regret is I don't have a concrete picture of her first time on the slide. She loved it.
This week I pulled out our new IKEA kid's tunnel. Rachel crawls as fast as she can from one side to the other. Then she giggles and squeals as Zoe runs through.
Today I got a wild hair and took Rachel on a picnic. I bought McDonald's happy meals for both of us. This marks another first for her.
She ate a few bites of the chicken nuggets and a few more bites of hamburger.
But all she really wanted were fries,
fries,
and more fries.
She would hold a fry in each hand and then try to slurp the third like a spaghetti noodle.
Gotta love fries.
She was even happier to see her new toys.
Definitely a monumental occasion, the first Happy Meal. You are so great to do so many fun things with her this week. You are a great mom!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pics.

she's such a pretty baby! Makes me want a girl! Both of my boys are little fry fiends... I wish it were not so, but they LOVE them and want them all the time. You're a cute mom!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to write that we saw Shrek 4. She liked it for about 45 minutes then I spent the rest of the time entertaining her with snacks and toys so I could see the rest of the movie.
