The New Swing Set

Early in June we invested in a new swing set for the kids.  We want our house to be so much fun that their friends want to come here to play.  This is the first step towards making our backyard the place to be.

The kids love swinging.  We purchased a baby swing for Joseph off of Amazon.  Rachel and Joe would spend a good hour swinging if I were willing to push that long.




We've already had a couple of picnics in the crows nest.
 

It took Doug and I about a week to put the whole thing together.  Believe it or not, Rachel was a big help.  She fetched tools and wood.  She even steadied a beam when we needed an extra body.

I put the slide pieces together inside the house.

It took us a couple more weeks to get the slide in place.  But now we are open for business!

The next backyard improvement will be putting in a fence and moving our lilac bushes.
