September 12th, 2012

Honestly I don't remember the nitty gritty details of this day.  I suppose that is why I take pictures.

Breakfast.  Yogurt anyone?

Rachel has become quite the little helper.  She helps with emptying the dishwasher.

She helps me scan receipts for bookkeeping.

And she helps me by taking things down to Doug in his basement office, usually lunch or breakfast.

Joe is my little explorer.  The world is his oyster.  He is always experimenting with one thing or another.  Today was trucks in the toilet.

"It floated Mom!  Neat, huh!"

This picture captures so much of Rachel's personality.
1.  Rachel is making a chain from little metal clips.  She is very focused.
2.  She loves her pajamas.  She would not get dressed in the morning if I didn't make her.
3.  She would go to preschool every day if she could.  She settles for wearing her backpack.
4.  The balloon is strategically placed in the backpack so it doesn't get swiped by her little brother.

I got this beauty of a drill press for my birthday.  Between September 10th and November 24th I drilled thousands of holes.  I drilled 400 dominos three different times.  I drilled game pieces, cards and other crafts.  I was a drilling fool.

During the autumn I would drill ornaments then take other ornaments outside to glue while the kids played in the back yard.  When Rachel can't talk someone into pushing her she swings side to side.  Ingenious.  Notice the balloon is still with her.

Joe continued his exploration.  He was never in one spot for long.

Who is that interloper in the cart.  Is that Rudolph at Costco?  But it's September.
