After breakfast I put some time in on the wii fit. Rachel is a great cheerleader and will push me to keep playing. She just likes watching the miis.
I showered while Rachel watched "Despicable Me."
Rachel, Joseph and I went to the local park for a neighborhood picnic. It was a nice break. It was so nice to visit with adults while the kids played.
Rachel tried the slide. She wasn't a big fan of the drop off at the end. So, undaunted, she resorted to climbing the steps up, sitting at the top of the slide, then climbing back down. Then repeating the pattern. She had fun. That's all that matters to me.
She tried to "tricyclejack" some wheels but was too small to reach the peddles.
Joseph spent most of his time in his carseat. Here he is hanging with his baby buddies. All of these kids were born within a matter of weeks.
I was thrilled when Sarah (who sometimes babysits for us) started playing with Rachel. Rachel had a blast.
After lunch, our friends Bethany and TJ came to babysit while Doug and I enjoyed a few minutes on our own for a marital tune-up. Then I took Bethany to get a pedicure. Here are my shiny clean toes.
Soon it was time to get everybody ready for bed. Rachel tried on my shirt. "Pretty!"
Joseph and I played with his teddy bear.
Meanwhile Doug was doing our grocery shopping. He surprised me with ingredients for an outdoor treat. I want s'more please.
Finally we had family "stories of Jesus" and prayer. The kids went to bed and Doug and I took a few minutes watching TV before bed.
What a fun day you had! I remember that day at the park- with all the kids there it was a great time. I like your toes, mine are long overdue for some work.
