We love Saturdays. This Saturday started as so many before...in our pajamas.
Doug spent time entertaining (and tickling) Rachel
while I decorated cupcakes for a princess themed baby shower.
I took a break to play with everybody and the tunnel.
Then I attended Corrine's baby shower.
We gave her a fun gift of feeding supplies... spoons, bibs, formula dispenser and this festive container of baby foods.
I left early so I could take over watching Rachel when Doug went to teach a discussion with the missionaries. The missionaries were stood up. When I arrived home Doug was bringing in roses from our yard.
I received my order from JCPenney's. Rachel checked out the merchandise for me. Incidentally, most of it was returned for one reason or another.
Rachel only gets her binky when she is in her crib or at church. Here she is enjoying one last suck
before handing it over.
In the evening we went to Logan and Holly's wedding reception. Aren't they cute!
An hour later Rachel had "had it." It was time to go home.
Doug changed her out of her dress.
Then Zoe entertained us by running up and down the hall like a crazy dog. Her legs get moving so fast that she looks like she's going to trip herself.
Rachel hears the beep of her bottle warmer and the festivities are over. Time for a bottle and bed.
Christmas is always a wonderful time of year. This is the fourth Christmas Doug and I have celebrated together. Having Rachel in our home made it a thousand times more magical.
Christmas lights beamed brighter,
Christmas carols were cheerier,
and our smiles were bigger.
We spent Christmas Eve with the Goodwin clan in Provo, UT.
Rachel had a great time seeing her aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.
The turkey, gravy and mashed potatoes were so good that I craved them for a week.
Rachel received her first pair of Christmas Eve pajamas.
All of the kids show off their new pajamas.
Christmas morning was so much fun. Doug and I enjoyed getting up around 8:30am. We know this is one of the last years we get to sleep in.
Santa brought everybody customary treats.
Rachel LOVED the book and Holiday Elmo he brought her.
She got really pretty good at opening presents by the end of our festivities. We were spoiled by all of the family. Thanks everybody for the great gifts!
Santa brought Doug Marble Mania to share with Rachel.
She caught a marble. She was so proud of herself.
It was a great season filled with family and friends. I can hardly wait until next year.
