Wheeler Farm Playgroup

This is just a few pictures of the other kids at playgroup.

This little cutie kept asking me to take his picture.

How many kids can you fit in a tree?

Ward Campout 2012

These are camera phone pictures so they aren't great quality but they captures our adventure just fine.  We have a great big tent.  It makes it so we can have a queen size inflatable bed on one side, a full size inflatable bed on the other and still have space to run around.  Rachel and Joseph had a ball playing with the flashlights.

The next morning we enjoyed our breakfast in our home away from home.

The ward had lots of fun activities and games.  This was by far Rachel's favorite.  They laced little plastic ribbons through plastic grids to make a bookmark.  Just look at that concentration.

Side note:  Rachel had only been potty trained for a week before we went camping.  There were no accidents.  She did splendidly.

Copperton Park Playgroup

It is so fun to watch these sweet children of mine grow up.  Joseph is in the explore on your own phase. He explored on foot.

He found the slide.

He explored by crawling.

He found a soccer ball!  He gave it proper reverence before moving on.

He found Melissa's purse, and in it, the holy grail.  Sunglasses!

Rachel still plays solo quite a bit.

"What should I do with these wood chips?"

"I know!  I'll see what happens when they are thrown down the slide."

Rachel has a fantastic sense of humor!  "May I serenade you?"

"Hurray for playgroup!"

Wyatt Minson made friends with Joe by sharing his fruit snacks.

I love using my telephoto lens to get pictures of these guys without their knowledge.  Rachel is learning to play with friends.

What is so fascinating?  Were they just studying the wood chips?

Here are a few of my favorites pictures of kids, other than mine.

I took this picture of Carter 2 years ago.

Here he is today. :)

Doug's Cinnamon Almonds

Our Relief Society asked Doug to give a special cooking presentation of his famous Cinnamon Almonds.

He taught the class to two different groups.

Rachel and Joseph came to the activity too.  Joseph was sitting on a friend's lap during the "specialty drink" presentation.  Rachel, playing in the back of the room, became concerned that she couldn't see Joe.  So she began calling out "Joseph, where are you?!"  She didn't quit until she found him.

Doug's presentation didn't hold Rachel's attention so she practiced her downward facing dog yoga pose.

Joseph found ample entertainment among all the different sisters.

The scent of Doug's almonds wafted through the building.  They really do smell like Christmas.

I think the sisters really enjoyed learning this new skill.  Doug did a great job.  I was (and am) very proud to call him my husband.
