About Us

Jessica and I were matched up on July 12th on the website www.ldspromise.com. On July 30th, we went on our first date. Jessica came with her friends Damon and Corinne and we went up Mill Creek Canyon and played Phase 10. We went out several more times and on August 11th, we went to Lagoon. While I hadn't been planning on it, while we were there I asked Jessica to marry me. She said yes, and on August 18th, I made it official by giving her a ring while we were on a picnic up East Canyon.

On September 21st, we were married in the Salt Lake Temple. We had a wonderful afternoon Sealing with photos immediately following, and then went directly to our reception at the Lion House. I had arranged for a carriage to pick us up after the reception and take us to the Inn at Temple Square where we spent the first two nights of our honeymoon. It was fun being among the last to be able to stay there before it closed in November. Jessica braved a busy clearance sale where the items from the Inn were being sold. She was able to purchase a nice round table, a tea pot, and some bathmats that are embroidered with the Inn's logo. It is so much fun to have these items to remember our stay.

After we returned from our honeymoon, we came back to my home where we are beginning our lives. On Monday, October 2nd, Jessica fell off a stool trying to put away some blankets in the closet and injured her knee. We've learned that she chipped off a portion of her patella, and severely bruised the ends of the bones in the knee. She is still recovering from this injury, though she is doing much better.

Our most exciting news came on December 5th when we learned that we were expecting our first child. We haven't been to the doctor yet, but from our own calculations, we expect the due date to be approximately August 12th. This time hasn't been easy for Jessica. She is quite exhausted from the changes that are taking place, but the excitement of what's to come seems to compensate for much of the pain and lack of energy.

We have appreciated the excitement and love that each of our family members and friends have expressed over this joyous news. We love you all!
