August 12

Rachel started out the day leisurely drinking her bottle while she waited for her pancakes.

She is beginning to play tricks on me when taking pictures.  So here she is "asleep" during her bottle feed.
She couldn't keep a straight face for long.  Rachel wasn't the only one laughing.

After breakfast Rachel spent some time watching the neighborhood.

Then she moved on to more important business.

She didn't really like me interrupting her concentration.

So I took the rare opportunity to take a shower.  (No picture provided.)

Rachel and I enjoyed lasagna for lunch.  She enjoyed it far more than I did.

Rachel took some time out of her hectic schedule of play to watch an episode of "Sesame Street."  This picture brought to you by the letter S.

Meanwhile I printed and cut out a few coupons.  I'm not die hard but I can save some money just being a fair weather couponeer.

Rachel and I took the above coupons and visited the wonderful world of Wal-Mart.  We saved $8.50.

Then we returned home for Rachel's much needed nap.

I took one too.

Doug worked hard all day dealing with IT problems for Discover Card and fighting a cold.  Then he changed clothes and mowed the lawn.

Rachel, Zoe and I came outside to support him.  I think we were more of a nuisance than anything else.

Rachel surprised me by just turning around and crawling all the way up the stairs without hesitation.

Rachel is a pro at feeding her baby.  She can do it standing up.

But, once Rachel strong armed her baby and stole her bottle we figured it was time for her own bottle and bedtime.
