The walk home is heartbreaking, however, with Rachel pleading through her tears, "one more time?" My reply, "yes, you can slide again, but it will have to wait for another day" must feel hollow to her.
It's always hard to leave the park. At that age, I'm always up to bribery. Maybe a bag of snacks on the way home?
ReplyDeleteOh so sad. Isn't it great to know that just being outside to play can make someone so happy. Kai is the same way. It has been known around our house lately for someone to be outside playing with him until it gets dark because he screams if anyone trys to take him away from his toys. It can be so hard to be a kid sometimes. :(
