February 12th

"Good Morning!"

"Do I HAVE to get my hair fixed?"

Breakfast

Waiting to go to preschool.

Rachel is at preschool for 2 hours.  But Joey easily finds ways to entertain himself.

"Daddy!  Where are you?!"

"Can I come downstairs?  PLEASE?"

"Okay, then will you let me do your hair?"

I get some potato and corn chowder with sausage started in the crockpot.

Yum!

Joseph plays at my feet.

The heater stopped working.

Joseph and I went to pick up the kids from preschool.

Rachel is always happy to see us.

This is Eliza.  Eliza's mom takes the girls to preschool and I pick them up.  On Thursday we add Gavin to the mix.  I LOVE listening to these kids talking and laughing in the backseat.

Rachel walked into the kitchen, plopped down on the floor and began making a snow angel on the kitchen floor.

I let the kids watch TV while I finished my craft project.  It should have a sign that says "barefeet welcome."

Once Joseph went down for his nap Rachel and I tracked down the part Doug needed to fix the furnace.  Can I just say that I am SO glad Doug is on my team.  He had it up and running in no time.

Then Doug watched the kids while I took soup to a neighbor in distress.

I fed the kids cold cereal for dinner. (Joe and I had eaten soup earlier)  Doug grabbed something to snack on while he raced to prepare the basement for our incoming guests.

We were all trying to clean up as fast as we could.  I love how clean the house gets when company comes.

Finally the anticipated time arrived.  I drove to the airport to pick up are VIPs. It was fun having family here.

Nanette is one of my best friends.  Isn't that the definition of sister?

Nanette's son Kaleb (my nephew) married Hilary on Valentine's Day.  Isn't that romantic?!  At various times throughout the week we had Matt and Carrie and Erika stay with us.  Rebecca, Joe and Kaleb all came by at one time or another.  What a wonderful day/week.
