Friday October 22nd was a sad first in Rachel's life. It was the first time she threw up. She kept whining and trying to climb on me. She was acting cranky and off. Nothing seemed to make her happy. Doug took her to the basement to check up on some computer things. He was the lucky recipient of the first round of vomit.
Her sickness only lasted 3 or 4 hours. Warm baths and "Signing Time" soothed her between bouts of sick. She willingly drank lots of pedialite, avoided dehydration and quickly returned to her busy activities.
It was really sad to watch her struggle and cry. But, I have to admit, I enjoyed cuddling my sweet exhausted toddler.
I'm so glad her stomach bug only lasted a few hours. She looks so sad in those pictures.
ReplyDeleteIs it horrible that I love when my kids get sick that they are so cuddly? Problem is, once they're on the mend they get super cranky! Ack!
